Select the slider button in the top right corner to Show Completed Returns, or Returns with the Done status.
You’ll now want to filter the returns you want to roll over to next year that will have the same characteristics, such as Entity Type, Year, Due Date and Task List.
For example, we will likely want our 1040 tax returns to have the same entity identifying information but be applied to each client’s respective return for next year. In this example we’d want to filter for type 1040, status as Done and Year as 2021.
Once you have the list to roll over with the similar tax return characteristics you will select all the returns in the filtered list by checking the checkbox in the top row of the Return List.
Once the filtered returns are selected you will click the ROLL OVER button at the top of the Return List. This will open up the Multi Return Form where you will have the ability to create returns based off the selected Entities from the filtered list.
Fill out the Return Information then select the tags and task list that you want applied to the selected returns. These inputs will be applied to each tax return when you roll them over.
Select Save and your returns will be created for each Entity that you selected from the filtered list with the Not Started status.
Repeat this process for the different type of returns you have to roll over your full return list for the upcoming year.
